What shiftswap is
shiftswap is a shift coverage board for hourly teams. It lets teammates post open shifts, claim them, and get manager approval in one shared place. It is not scheduling, time-tracking, payroll, or legal advice — just the swap board.
Free trial, then flat billing
New teams get a 14-day free trial with every feature. After that, one flat $12 per month (or $108 per year) covers the whole business with unlimited staff. There are no per-seat charges and no hidden fees. Cancel anytime from Settings; the board stays readable until the trial or paid period ends. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled — you'll always know the amount and date before a charge.
Who charges you
Subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record — they handle cards, tax and receipts, and shiftswap itself never sees or stores your card number.
Refunds and complaints
Every purchase comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee — the full details live on the Refunds page. If something feels wrong, file a support ticket and expect a human reply within 2 business days. If we can't settle it together, you're entitled to take the complaint to the relevant trade ombudsman in your country.
Your data lives in two places
Your sign-in session stays in your browser. Your team — names, shifts, activity — syncs to our shared database (Supabase) so every phone sees the same board. Staff join with an invite code and no password; managers sign in with a magic link. Anyone with access to your browser can read what's on it.
Fair use
Use shiftswap to run your own team, not to spam, harass, scrape, or break the thing for everyone else. Managers are responsible for who they invite and what gets posted on their board.
No guarantees on coverage
shiftswap shows you what's open, claimed, and approved — it can't make anyone claim a shift. Uncovered shifts are still the team's problem, just a more visible one.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here. Questions about the product? File a support ticket — it stays in the app.
